Belle Grove Plantation (of King George) - Built: 1791

Belle Grove Plantation is the birthplace of President James Madison. It should be said that this is not the original structure that Mr. Madison was born in, but sits upon it. The current house was built in 1791 and is an architectural treasure. The plantation house, which now serves as a top rated Bed & Breakfast, is furnished in period furniture and antiques that give its guest a real feel for the 18th century. Candlelight walking ghost tours are also offered.
