Kenmore Plantation
Kenmore is a brick Georgian style mansion built for Fielding Lewis and George Washington's sister, Betty Washington Lewis. The mansion reflects the pre-Revolutionary-War wealth and status of the Fredericksburg merchant.
Kenmore is probably best known for its decorative plaster ceilings and colorful walls. The refurbishment of the mansion is ongoing and furnishings and interior details are added all the time.
