Maggie Walker National Historic Site - Built: 1883
The Maggie Walker home, currently operated by the National Park Service, is a tribute to the enduring legacy of vision, courage, and determination of Maggie Walker who devoted her life to civil rights advancement, economic empowerment, and educational opportunities for Jim Crow era African Americans and women.
