Daniel Harrison House - Built: 1749

Daniel Harrison, the first settler of Dayton, built the house, also known as Fort Harrison, in 1749. The house is the oldest house in Dayton and one of the oldest in Rockingham County. The addition was added in the 1830s and 1850s and the older part remodeled in the 1850s by the Alldbaugh family.
