Filled with the furnishings, art, books, gadgets and other objects that reveal the unique mind of one of our greatest founding fathers.

Tours offered every day of the year except Christmas Day Tours given in small groups schedule upon purchase of tour Note: Hours are a bit tricky on this one. We suggest checking the Monticello website or calling to confirm times. Peak Season March - October: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm (first tour at 8:45 am)(Last Tour at 5:10 pm) Holiday weekends, the full weekend before and after Easter, most weekends in June & July: 8:30 am to 7:00 pm or 8:30 am to 7:30 pm Off-Season Generally 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (first tour at 10:15 am)(Last tour at 4:10 pm) 8:30 am to 5:00 pm around Thanksgiving, after Christmas, and a few days in November and February Closed the following holidays - Christmas Day | Individuals November - February Adults: $20.00 Children (Ages 5-11): $8.00 Children (Under 5): Free March - October Adults: $25.00 Children (Ages 5-11): $8.00 Children (Under 5): Free Special Tours: See website Discounts: March - October Only: Local Residents (anyone living in one of the counties directly abutting Aldemarle County): $5.00 off Local Residents (as described above) with a full paying adult from out of the area (Year Round): Free Specials: Neighborhood Pass - for Monticello, Ash-Lawn Highland, and Michie's Tavern: $40.00 (March - October) & $34.00 (November - February) Can be purchased at any of the three locations.
