Monticello, built on a hilltop overlooking Charlottesville, provides an intimate look at the extraordinary house Thomas Jefferson built and furnished for himself and his family. Filled with the furnishings, art, books, gadgets and other objects that reveal the unique mind of one of our greatest founding fathers.

Peak Season
March - October: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm (first tour at 8:45 am)(Last Tour at 5:10 pm)
Holiday weekends, the full weekend before and after Easter, most weekends in June & July: 8:30 am to 7:00 pm or 8:30 am to 7:30 pm

Off-Season
Generally 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (first tour at 10:15 am)(Last tour at 4:10 pm)
8:30 am to 5:00 pm around Thanksgiving, after Christmas, and a few days in November and February

Specials: Neighborhood Pass - for Monticello, Ash-Lawn Highland, and Michie's Tavern: $40.00 (March - October) & $34.00 (November - February) Can be purchased at any of the three locations.
